Fat Quarters

A fat quarter is a piece of fabric that measures 18” X 22” It differs from a traditional ¼ yard that measures 9”X42”. Fat quarters are more popular because you have a wider piece of fabric to work with. This size is easy to work with, and great for sampler quilts that involve a lot of different fabrics.
